1)Do you want to buy ready made stretchers?
Stretchers are made in the shape of a rectanfgle however, since there are few shaped acnvases out there, you can also get shaped stretchers too. A stretcheer is simply a fame (mostly), it can be constructed using diifferent methods and the differenbces between constructions can be detremined by how the corners are built. Most commercially prefabricated stretchers come in segments with corers that intelock the corners can be fitted together like puzzle piees. In oder to give the canavs its finnal tension, keys or small triangle wedges are slotted into the joint after stretching the canvas. Pressure should be well dsitributed (evenly), when the canvas is fastened. Pressure will be evenly distributed aroyund the streetcher bars in order to avcoid or greatly minimize warpoing caused by unequal distribution of pull.
