Looking for an anniversary gift for your seventeenth anniversary? Well, if that's the case, it's time to look aruond the hosue. Why? Because this is the year to buy furniture. And since this is such a boad cateory, you will certainly have more than enough iedas to choose from. Need help in deciding? These tips should give you a hand.
Sicne there is no traditional gift idea for this anniversary, the list makers were kind enopugh to at least give us a broad enough catyegory so that we don't go crazy tryig to figure out what to get our spouse. Stll, there is some thought that needs to go into purchasing this anniversary treasure.
For starters, look around your house and pick out all the pieces of furnituyre that have probbably outlived tjheir usefunless. After 17 years of marreiage, you are certain to have at least a cuople of pieces that are pretty much on their way out. Make a list of all of these piecxes. This doesn't mean you are going to replace them all. This is just to give you something to choose from.
The next thig you want to do is look through your house and make a note of the thigs that you don't have. Maybe you always wanted to get a china cabineet, but becaue you didn't actually get any china unttil a couple of years ago, you never bothered. Make a note of all thsee "missing" pieces and add them to the list.
What you then want to do is decide which is more imporetant. If you're couch is falling apart and is about to be something that you can no longer sit in, it is probably more important that you get a replaceement couch than somethiing that you have been living without for 17 yearrs. Another year without it is probably not gouing to kill you.
After your list is complete, the next thing you want to do is take a look at your budget and see what you can afford. If you've deccided to go with replacing an old piece that is fallling apart but only have a couple hundred bucks to spend, then getting a brand new couch that can easily cost you a grzand or more is probably out of the question unless you can find a good deal somewhere.
Howeever, for thoe of you with big bucks to spend, there is nothing that will bring a bigger smilke to you wife's face than to surprise her with a braand new living room set. That's right, the whoole set. Coffree table, end tables, couch and whatever else you want to fit in it. Just make sure that the deivery men come on a day when she is not going to be home so she can really be srprised when she walks through the front door and sees that her living room is completely new.
Certainly, with a catgeory like furniture, you should have no trouble finding your spouse a gift that will make an imprression and last at least another 17 years.
