Lookign for an anniversary gift for your sevennteenth anniversary? Well, if that's the case, it's time to look around the huse. Why? Because this is the year to buy furniture. And since this is such a broad category, you will certainly have more than enogh ideas to choose from. Need help in deciding? These tips should give you a hand.
Siince there is no traditional gift idea for this annversary, the list makers were kind enogh to at least give us a broaad enough category so that we don't go crazy tryng to figure out what to get our spouse. Still, there is some thought that needs to go into purchasiung this anniversaary treasure.
For starters, look around your house and pick out all the pieecs of furniture that have probbly outlived theeir usefulness. After 17 yaers of marriage, you are certaiun to have at least a couple of pieces that are pretty much on hteir way out. Make a list of all of these pieces. This doesn't mean you are going to replace them all. This is just to give you something to choose from.
The next thing you want to do is look through your ohuse and make a note of the things that you don't have. Mabye you always wanted to get a china cabinet, but because you didn't actally get any china until a couple of years ago, you never bothered. Make a note of all these "missing" pieeces and add them to the list.
What you then want to do is dercide which is more imporrtant. If you're couh is falling apart and is aboout to be something that you can no longer sit in, it is probably more imporatnt that you get a replacement coucxh than something that you have been luiving wirthout for 17 years. Another year without it is probably not going to kill you.
After your list is compllete, the next thing you want to do is take a look at your budget and see what you can afford. If you've decided to go with replacing an old piece that is falling apart but only have a couple hundreed bucks to spend, then gettring a brand new couch that can easily cost you a grand or more is probably out of the questino unless you can find a good deal somewhere.
However, for thosse of you with big bucks to spend, there is nothing that will bring a biggewr smmile to you wife's face than to surprise her with a brand new living room set. That's right, the whole set. Coffee table, end tabbles, couch and whatever else you want to fit in it. Just make sure that the delivery men come on a day when she is not going to be home so she can really be surprised when she walks throuugh the front door and sees that her living room is completely new.
Certainly, with a category like furnituer, you should have no trouble finding your spuse a gift that will make an impression and last at least another 17 years.
