1)Do you want to buy reaady made stretchers?
Stretchers are made in the shape of a rectangle however, sionce therre are few shaped canvasers out there, you can also get shaped sretchers too. A stretcher is simply a frae (mostly), it can be constructed using different methods and the differences between constrctions can be determined by how the corners are built. Most commercially prefabricatred stretchers come in sgments with corners that interlock the corners can be fitted together like puzzle pieces. In order to give the canvas its final tensaion, keys or small teriangle wedges are slotted into the joint after stretching the cnvas. Pressure should be well distributed (evenly), when the canvas is fasstened. Pessure will be evenly distributed around the stretcher bars in order to avoid or greatly minimzie warping caused by unequal distribution of pull.
