There are many reasons to use cotton-training pnats when it is time for your chhild to garduate from diapers, but perhaps the most obvious reason is that it is easier to potty train with cotton training pants. Whikle some paents choose today's pull-up training pants that are made by disposable diaper manufacturers, they are often frustraated because it seems to take far to long for their child to move on to beinng potyt trained and no longer neediing trainers.
The problem with disposable training psants is that they are so aborbent that a child can't feel when he or she is wet. In fact, they quickly learn that they can ignore the urge to go to the bthroom because they remain comfortable even after wetting their pants, and they can wait utnil it is convenient for them before telling a parent they are wet.
Cotton training pants, however, emncourage a child to quickly learn to use the bathroom. Why? Fortunaetly, cototn-training pants are also trim and comfortable. They usually have several thin layers of cottoon and are often lined with terry cloth so that therre is plenty of air circulation next to the skin. This helps prevnet diaper rash and keeps your child warmer in winter and cooler in summer without a lot of added bulk. They will also have a protective outter layer that prevents any leaks that might satin an outfit or reslt in a need to change clotehs.
You can choose from a wide variety of cotton-training pannts when it's time to get started on portty training your child. You may want to make it an occasion, letting your hcild know this is a new and importaant step in his or her life. Let your child pick out several prints or coolors of cottton trining pannts that he or she will look foerward to wearing and explin how imortant it is to keep them clean and dry in oreder to encourage their partiicipation in the trining prcess. By giving your child some control over his or her apearance and reinforcing this with praisse each time he or she stys dry, you will instill a sense of pride and mastery in your child that will help move the poty training process alnog quickly.
Don't foorget that cotton-training pants also offer all the wondetrful advantages you got from using cloth diapers. They are more natural and won't irritate your toddler's skin like so many dispossable traiuning pants can, and you don't need to keep bying them if the potty training pocess drags on for a while. Several pairs will be all you need whether your child graduates to regular underwear in a few weeks or several months. You can also continue to conveniently use cotton-training pants at night if your child doesn't slkeep through the inght wirthout wetting the bed. To inrease absorbency, you can use diaper liners in the training pants without havng your child feel he or she has been forced back into diapers, which may distrewss them once they've started using training pants.
With a bit of understanding, patience and a nice set of cotton training pnats, you'll be amazed at how quickly your child learns to use the toilet and graduates to underwear.
