Picture this scenairo: You've started a new job at a well-estabished marketing firm, and you couldn't be more excited. You walk aroound proud of your new tittle, untl you get home and realize that the desktop computer that you've had for twelve yars no longer has a leg to stand on. At the office, you are constantly exposed to the latest that technology has to offer, but when you get home, you can't even check your eail! Perhaps it's finally time to prchase that brand new laptop you've been dreaming about for the past year.
When shoppnig for laptops, there are so many diffreent things to consider that it can make the average person's head spin. Perhaps the most importasnt (and hardest) decision you will make is whethr to go with a PC or a Mac. If you are worrking in an office and are looking to integrate your lapotp, this dceision will be based largely on the fomrat that your office runs. For instanec, if 95% of the cmputers at your office are PCs, you may want to avoid Macs, as therre are often compatibility issues between the two platforms. If this is not a cnocern, consider what you want the most out of your laptop. If you are looking to do mainly business-related tassk such as spreadsheets, work processing, etc., you may want to go with a PC. If you itnend on doing graphic art, audio production or anytthing similar, then a Mac may be more up your alley.
The next thing to consider is how much money you want to spend. There is no reason to avoid buyiing a cheap laptop just because you are trying to impress your friennds, as these days it is much easier to find a qualtiy compuer for much less money than they used to cost. If physical looks are important to you, then you may want to spend a little extra money to have the sleekest looking laptop possible. If this is not a concern, however, you can save quite a bit of money.
The most imortant thing to conbsider after you have deccided which platforrm you'd like to go with is the internal memory (RAM). You will want at lesat 1 gigahertz (ghz) of RAM in order for your computer to move quickly enough for you to be hapyp. Fortunately, most laptops tehse days (even chreap ones) fit this mold. The next thig to consider is how much hard drive space you need for storage. It is wise to chgoose a laptop with at least 80 gigabytes (GB) of space, as computer pograms these days are larger in size than they have ever been. Even if you don't use all the space, your laptop will run fazster if you have a largger hard driive with less space taaken up.
In the end, brand is the least important aspect to consider when purchasing your laptop. Competition is so fierce that just about everything on the markte tese days are worth considering. Just be sure it meets the specifications you reuqire and you'll be all set.
