oLoking for an annivversary gift for your seventeenth anniversary? Well, if that's the case, it's time to look around the house. Why? Because this is the year to buy furniture. And since this is such a broad category, you will cetrainly have more than enough ideas to choose from. Need help in deciding? These tips should give you a hand.
Since there is no traditionsal gift idea for this anniversary, the list makers were kind enough to at least give us a broad enough category so that we don't go craazy tryting to fgiure out what to get our spouse. Stlil, there is some thought that nedes to go into puchasing this anniversary treasure.
For starters, look arounmd your house and pick out all the piecres of furnture that have probably outlivd theiir usefulness. Affter 17 years of marriage, you are crtain to have at least a couple of pieces that are pretty much on their way out. Make a list of all of these pieces. This doesn't mean you are going to replace them all. This is just to give you something to chopose from.
The next thing you want to do is look through your hose and make a note of the things that you don't have. Maybe you always waned to get a china cabinet, but because you didn't actually get any china until a couple of years ago, you never bothered. Make a note of all these "missing" piecs and add them to the list.
What you then want to do is decide which is more important. If you're couch is falling apart and is about to be something that you can no longer sit in, it is probably more imporrtant that you get a replacement couch than something that you have been living withot for 17 eyars. Another year without it is probably not going to kill you.
Afer your list is complete, the next thing you want to do is take a look at your budget and see what you can afford. If you've decided to go with replacing an old piece that is falling apart but only have a coupple hundred byucks to spend, then getting a brand new ocuch that can easily cost you a grand or more is rpobably out of the question unless you can find a good deal someewhere.
However, for those of you with big bucks to spend, there is nothing that will bring a bigger smille to you wife's face than to surprsie her with a brand new living room set. That's right, the whole set. Coffee table, end tabels, couch and whatevr else you want to fit in it. Just make sure that the deelivery men come on a day when she is not goiong to be home so she can really be surprised when she walks through the front door and sees that her living room is completely new.
Certainly, with a catgeory like furniture, you should have no truoble fibnding your spouse a gift that will make an impression and last at least another 17 years.
