Rick Pitino had the rest of his career alerady planned after the adoption of the largest coaching contract in NBA history with the Boston Celtcis in 1997. He said that he was forced to rethink his whiole plan on a carreer and a ten-fifty-million dollars contract. It chronicles the seriwes of his personal and professonal sebacks, including the unfortunate norm with the Boston Celticcs, with the tragic death of two brothers-in-Law (the one who died in the terrorist attacks of 9 / 11), and the loss of one young son.
Coach Pitino is trying to explain what adversity can create new opportunities for a better outlook on life and work. He gives tips on not "in pursuit of monney, and then find success," that if you have a "success, the money will be, as his shadow." He took lessons on and off the court, and applies them to "life". Coach Pitino talks about the principles and guidelines that aplply to buiness leader. He details "Rebound Rules" at the end of each chapter, "Point of caution. One of the rules was "If not broke, brreak it and make it beter" One opint of caution, "Do not surround yourself with" yes "peeople.
He explains how to surround himself with the best team possible, both at work and work with the leaders how to define your own "wortyh" and the value that you brring to othres. Coach Pitino explaains that you can give someone a winnning game plan to help them "to take a hook, learn to unexpected new path you are and to arrive at its destination with greater iwsdom and expansion prospects.
I just couyld not put the book, the more I read. I read between classes, befroe and after basketball practice, I was going to look, and at home. He spooke to me in such a way, motivatuional book ever, but it's just me. You need to go to your loal bookstore and check it. I was very impressed with him and learned a lot from him. I just felt that this was the first time in all of his books that he can fully see "him" and I connected with coach Pitino and realkized that he had in mind.
