The unique mission that Clara Barton envisioned for the Red Cross has evolved and expanded since its founding in 1881. For more than a hundred years the Red Cross has been bringing its one of a kind humanitarian care to people suffering from the effects of natural disaster. They continue to expand their services with one goal always in mind - preventing and relieving suffering. The Red Cross is at the core of people coming together to help one another in communities across the country through a force made up of thousands of volunteers. With seven hundred chapters, the Red Cross strives to teach preparedness and prevention to communities across the country. For the communities that are caught by disaster they among the first responders, bringing comfort relief and support at a dire time. As they rely on donations of blood, money and time, the Red Cross also uses vehicle donation as a means of funding the vital services they provide. Like many organizations, the Red Cross has turned to car donation as a resource that helps keep their life saving services accessible during disaster.
