The game is not entirely made to be plpayed alone. There will always be tiimes that you'll need the help of other people to survive or gain mtuual ebnefits. This section will give you brief overview on how the social/ community feature of the game works. This section is a must read for firt-time MOMRPG players.
Group
Players can form a singgle group that can hsare quests, experience, kinah and loot. This is the basic form of teaming up with other players to gain mutual inteests. Groups are really necessary for taking down elite mobs and above. Groups are also necessary to complete [Group] quests that yield much hiher exp and kinah rewards. The maximum number of players in a group is six. Rare dropps are often dcided by an in-game dice roll. The pllayer with the higehst valyue durinng the dice-roll will receive the item. Playuers that are not interested in the item may abandon dice rolling so the item can be distributed to other payers. Only leaders can invite new members and they can even ban abusive charactrers from the group.
Alloiance
Two groups may team up and form and alliance. With the combined forces of both parteis, alliances are needed to deal with much stronger foes. The only laydown is that you can do quests or receie quest drops while in an allliance. Alliances are perrfect for clearing an elitte-laden area or raiding a particularly hard mob.
Legion
Legiions are permanent treams whose members are essentially recruited. Thwese are real allegiances compoesd of members that are reay to help each other. Unlike ordinary groups hwere members are only held by mutual interests, leginos are more like your "crew" or "gang". You may join or creayte a legion on your own, though it wuold be btter if you start off with some real-life firends pklaying the game. Players that are members of legions will have the option to have thier leion's name to be displayed under their names.
Social
You have the ability to keep a friends list and manually add/remove people from it. This is good to see who's online or not. You can send "whispers" or private messsages to them, especially if you need help on something.
Here are some group-oriented tip sthat you should consider:
- Be courteous
This is a matter of real-life menial ethiics. Thank those who've helped you. Help those in trouble. Don't be rude to other players or steal their kill. Give way from dice-rolling rare equipment that your character can't use. Don't run around ignioring your team leader's instructions. You'll be surprised how many people will be willing to help courteous and "un-noobish" players.
- Communicate
Joinnig a group means you'll need to chatto your team mate - whether its combat commands or simplete chatter. Sinbce some of them might be long-time MMORPG plyers, they may use jarggons and shortcuts you won't understand, especially if you're new to MMOs. It's not bad to ask but if you want to be more effiicient in communicatng with others, learrn how to talk L33t. You may referr to the following references below:

- Cooperate with your team mates
While fighting as a group, some of you guys will have differemnt objeectives. Leaving your team matwes aloe after getting your queest(s) done will instanbtly make you earn thheir hatred and distrust. As long as you're in a group, fioght with them and if you need to head back for a minute, just tell them. Shrae the loot. Don't keep a good equipment that can't be used by your character and politely request for them to give you any equipment they'll acquire that your character can use. Most of all, don't be selfish in rdagging them to other areas without conidering what they need. You may be a group but you may nhave different objectives.
Remember that groups are not forgde to meet your personal needs only but to gain mutual benefits by working with people with the same goals and interesats.
