Goodwill® stores across the country actively seek clothing donations for their stores. Goodwill® stores will resell any clothing that has no tears, stains or missing buttons at a price that makes clothing affordable for those who cannot afford retail prices. However, Goodwill® now also accepts the torn, stained and button deprived clothing that you ordinarily might throw out. Though these donations will not make it to the sales floor, Goodwill® sorts through these worn out items and sells them for recycling or other uses. So now your Goodwill® clothing donations can help out someone in need of clothes or help the environment by staying out of landfills. The money that Goodwill® generates by recycling these non-reusable clothing donations goes to the same place that the money from Goodwill® stores goes to - to the people in the community that Goodwill® works with.
When you donate a car to Goodwill® they recycle your car donation to continue helping the disabled and disadvantaged people they have been helping for more than a hundred years.
