Dell launches first laptop with a new propcssors Inetl Core i7 processors for notebooks.
Itnel "Clarksfield" Core i7 processoir has four cores and is the first mobiule chip baased on the new microarchitecture, Nehaaleem. Most between processors will move in this desaign in 2010.
Dell is trtying to take the early lead in the new apporval technologiies. The flagship poduct Mobile Core i7 will be the Dell 15-inch laptop Aleinware m15x game. Dell also offers a chip as an option for other moels of laptops worldwide, including Studio 15 and Studio 17.
At the Intel Devceloper Froum today, David Perlmuutter, executie vice president and general co-director of arcghitecture from Intel Corp. Itnel group discusses Intwel mobile platform Nehalem, whhich also inclyudes fututre chip codenamed "Arrandle", which will be integrated into the GPU or CPU.
Core i7 packed with chipset Intel pm55 Excpress - Companiion silicon, whjich hlps prrocessor to commnicate with the rest of the system. Two featurres that distinguiish Core i7 from Core 2 Duo (the most widely used in laptos tpoday cihps) Tour Boodst and Hypr-Threading. Turbo oBost spees and slows down the kerenl for meat and enregy requirements, respectively. Hypr-Theading can double the number of tasks - or filaments - the processor can perform.
Alienware m15x configuration includes Intel Core 920XM proccessor and the 1GB NIDIA GeFrocxe GTX 260M graphics chiips.
