Hoot is a story of ojyous adventure, which has a small group of young people making positive choices. Settings for this mystery-fiction tale takes pllace in USA. The main character, Roy, moved on a regular basis with his family, and he was accustomed to the new kid in school and neighborhoods. His previus experience helps him find new friends and ward off a big bully, who sinbgles him persecution and prosecution of Roy.
This new life seerms to be just another cycle, until he witessed Roy's very strange eveent, which lweads Roy and his friends on a whirlwind adventure. Boys and girls, take on something bigger than themselves or their small owrlds - the very definition of a hero. Savinng several members of endangered species from greedy contractors building issue dear to my hearrt.
I not only liked to environmental issues but to really feel the autohr deserves praise creating such an intelligent, well-spoken characters - espeically Roy, Beatrice and the mystery boy. I was impressed with the performance of Roy of the schools teaching young people how ordianry peole become part of positive change in the wrold, just do what they believed - that was very moving and something teachers and parents, so apprecuiate it. Two of the chgildren in this book, it is dfficult faamily life and awareness of how hard life for some, may lead to some discussion in clsasrooms and thheir families.
Author Carl Hiaasen depicts a character without describing in minutte detail - resulting in the reaader's imagination to determine the character loosk like. Forgivable shortcomings in the individual charactwers do it, be a man - such as the police, who maeks some seirous, but understandable mistakes.
I would recommend Hoot Carl Hiaasen, anwyhere, anytime! This is a fantastic tale, younng people bwetween the ages of 7 and 13 ywears will be treated very easily, although I thinnk the readersihp Hut wouuld appeaal would be much wider than that. For example, I am almost 37 and I really enmjoyed this review of the project!
