As we do every November 11, today across the country we honor veterans. The anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I, Veterans Day is celebrated across the country with local parades and observances such as banks, businesses and schools closing in honor of the day President Wilson first declared a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace. You might have also heard of Veterans Day refereed to as Armistice Day. Either way, it’s a day we should take to think about all that our veterans have done for us as a country.
