Sure you probably have been to a landfill or junkyard and seen the mountains of unwanted cars piled one on top of the other. You may or may not know that those rusty cars are polluting the air, ground and water. Rust in itself is a hazard to the air but what about the toxic car substances that may sit in that unwanted car, slowly working its way into our water? You might think of antifreeze and oil but did you know there twelve potentially toxic car substances that may sit in cars that fill those junkyards? Just FYI there’s antifreeze, brake fluid, engine starter fluid, gasoline fuel, diesel fuel, gear oil, grease, lead -acid batteries, motor oil, power steering fluid, transmission fluid and window washer fluid. If you have a car you no longer need or want consider a car donation to a charity that disposes of those toxic car substances in a green way. When you donate a car to a charity that uses green disposal methods of car donations, you are helping the environment as well as a good cause.
