It’s the first Tuesday in November and across the country people will be going to the voting polls throughout the day. For months now candidates for various offices have been actively campaigning, championing the causes they support in hopes that people will come out and cast their vote for them. The candidates know themselves how tough it is each year to get people to come out and vote. As things like the economy and health care get more dismal, more and more people become discouraged and opt out of voting, in effect opt out of doing something for themselves and their community. Fortunately, we as a people are becoming more socially aware and the environment has become an important cause. More and more people each day are going green utilizing recycling and buying recycled products. People are more knowledgeable about the earth’s limited resources today and in many homes we have stopped letting the water run in sinks and toilets. We’re shutting off the lights when we’re not in a room and buying environmentally safe products. If you’re actively looking for ways to go green, you can donate a car to charity that works with green disposal. When you donate a car to a charity that uses green disposal you are helping two causes at once, the cause that the charity is working for and the environment in which we all live.
