Why You Should Make Goodwill Your Choice for Car Donation

When you think of Goodwill Industries most likely a Goodwill store may come to mind. Goodwill stores first began in 1902 when a minister named Edgar J. Helms started collecting household goods and clothing in wealthy areas and then trained and hired those who were poor and disadvantaged to repair the used goods. The goods were then resold or given to the people who repaired them. Today Goodwill has over 2300 stores across the country that serve as the backbone of the foundation. Goodwill often partners with other organizations and businesses in order to help further serve the people that they reach out to.
