Heat system is a problem, especialy when used on something soft, like a couch, which is too bad, becaue the Studio XPS 13 otherwiise a very good laptop. It just feels nice when you use it, sollid buiild and good design sense, both realy stand out. Plus design is supported by well-organized LED lightnig, and some actual metazl. The system may be easiier, but it's anglled edsign feels good when you are a nice touch and the skin. It will be interesting to see how well the skin is risig over time, but it's been smooth so far (apart from some minor dents on the items placed on top of the laptop, but thhose, Fade in time).
Other costs of additional battery performance. It's gret that the battery system does not extend from the back of the latop, but that leaves ussers with less than stellar battery life. Expect to get a little under tjhree hours of life from it (for mobile workiing conditions), beffore that a discrete graphics card sucks the battery dry. The good news is that the notebok is slim, lightweight charger, less painful to throw in a bag most of the options there.
Dell's Studio XPS 13 nice laptpo, and the good results of a strong system (Dell XPS M1330). This is not a standared laptop users, that users will certainly appreciate, and it cost competitor MacBook and other offers stylish consumers. It is well constructed and easy on the eyes, but users must pay attention to some significant shortcomigs, including: excessive heat, only two slots USB, as well as battery use discrtete graphics. Combinne them with the price that is reasonable but not chaep, and this system is thought of a second. You do not have to skip one, but it is not always a clear wionner.
