Everyone is talking about going green and being green these days. It seems we as a people have finally come to realize just how exhausted our earth’s resources have become. Across the country sanitation departments have included newspaper, bottle and glass recycling as part of their regular pick up routes. That’s just the tip of the ‘green’ iceberg.
Beyond that people are now buying green products, products that are made from recycled products, that include paper towels, toilet paper, notebooks, pencils and more. We’re monitoring how much water we waste and unplugging household appliances when not in use. Going green this Halloween is as simple as buying and handing out organic chocolates, trail mix and seeds and nuts that are packaged in smaller portions, using less packaging. Less packaging, of course, means less ends up in our landfills. Auto donation has gone green too and if you are ready to donate a car to charity, you can find organizations that are taking advantage of green disposal when you donate a car.
