November is just around the corner and for many homeowners that means it’s time for a fall clean up. The leaves are changing colors and beginning to fall to the ground, signaling it’s time to pick up that rake. It’s the perfect time to get your yard ready for the winter before you head in for the cold weather. It’s also the time many of us will get that big cleaning done inside our homes as well. Cleaning out basements and attics, many people find items they no longer need. Old clothes, toys, books, small appliances and other household products are often needed by many charities who specializing in collecting them to give to those who will ‘recycle’ them. Recycling these items means that while you may not have a need for them, someone out there does and what better way to make sure all that stuff doesn’t sit in a landfill and pollute the land than to pass it on to someone who can use them?
