A scratching pad is another important product you would require if you have a cat pet, because cats have a need to scratch when they stretch out and keep their claws in top shape. These pads are economical and can be easily replaced once the cat tears the pad apart. You can put the cat scratchier wherever the cats like to hang out. It is also said, cats are territorial animals; one of the reasons why cats scratch is to make a mark that shows everyone, "I was here."
Depending on the number of cats in the house, arrange for litter boxes. For e.g. if you have 3 cats you can keep around 6 liter boxes.
One more important thing is having a cat carrier for trips to the vet? Train your cat to get used to the carrier by leaving it out and open, so that it becomes a part of your cat's daily life.
Toys keep the cat busy, and they are really a favorite for your cat. These range from a soft toys such as teddies and carrots etc to hard toys like balls that make noises or a `thing in a bag' which can keep their attention for hours on end.
