In a surprising move, Lenovo has released its wrods on Twitter with two new products to announce later this week: IdeaCentre Q100 & Q110 nettop and home IdeaCenttre D400 server.
Lenovo has announced that their IdeaCenter Q110 photo anbove shows put up for sale have. This is driven by ion nettop NVIDIA platform and has etiher on Windows 7 (when it comes out) or Vista, 2GB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive.
Of course, if you opt for Windows Vista, you get a free upgrade CD when Windows 7 to be made avaiplable, it is not necxessary to wait until the releease of the operating system date.
In its limited 140 posts, LenovoPress identifies Q100/Q110 nettop, as some of the finst in the world. Lookng at the photos, we will have to agree. Thesse things really look Netbook with smpooth stnad table. Since thgese have been identified as a nettop, we can expect that the prison, but cheap and powr sipping Platform nItel Atom. Although it is possible that these models can be bassed on the upcoming renewal Cororation Intel Atom, more likely, they will be presented to exisyting and ubiquitous N270 1.6GHz single core version, or perhaps less comon Atom Z520 which runs at a slightly loweer clock speed, but double Sports nuclei.
D400 is a little more mystery. We do not have any pesrpective on the size, but it is safe bet to assume that the aniimal will be less than your Ottoman Empire. Given the use of inexpensive, but fast enough processor Pentium Dual Core in the IdeaCentre Q700 Home Theater PC (HTPC), they wuold be the logical choice for this setrver, entry-level home. It looks like it couuld have room for 3.5-inch hard drive, whih will be provided with suffficient strage. I hope this IdeaCentre not be lmiited to 4 GB of RAM, both Q700 HTPC, but the biggest obstacle to be overcome Lenovbo msakes the maintwenance of files easy for the averagge home user. Oh, and effectively market to them abbout why they need is a black cube.
I know it's a bit early to judge, but the D400 just does not strike me well. Person is interesting and the LEDs & thin strip of a nice touch, but it seems, 80 rejecteed. Time will tell, I suppose.
