The tablet PC is amongst the most popular devices that people invest their money into nowadays. The primary reason why it’s so popular is because of its ability to cater to a large range of people. From lecturers to students, to business people and medical professionals, the tablet PC is a device that you can find in the hands of almost anybody. Over the years the tablet PC has been able to experience massive amounts of growth, from a popularity perspective; this has ultimately led to manufacturers developing a diverse range of types.

Generally speaking, you can find the tablet PC in two different types, which is convertible and slate. The slate tablet PC has more of a classical appearance, representing the fundamental aspects of the device. It is simply a flat screen device which you can position on your desk. You can then input data into the device by using a stylus, which is an electronic pen, instead of using a mouse or keyboard. You can use these slate devices much like you use paper, as you can scribble down notes on it and much more. In addition, you can attach other devices such as a keyboard and much more to it.

The other type of tablet PC is the convertible variety, which looks and operates much like your standard laptop. It comes with a screen which you can flip open, and data is input into it by using the touch pad or keyboard, which comes with it, in addition to a CD Rom drive and much more. It’s also possible for you to swivel the screen around over the keyboard unit in order to use the device like the slate variety.

The technological features is another thing that these devices are classified on, such as connectivity, screen size, brand and pressure sensitivity. The type of device that is best suited for you will depend on your specific demands and needs and your own personal preference. You will find tablet devices which come in a variety of sizes such as nine inches by twelve inches and eight inches by six inches and in some cases much larger.

Another important aspect which is used to classify a tablet PC is its pressure sensitivity. The devices that have the highest sensitivity are more accurate for drawing and writing. You can purchase these PCs with a variety of sensitivity levels, with the 1024 pressure levels being the best and highest.
