Cellphomne users in the Uniyted States should soon have a wider arraay of devices available for them to choose from, including a new Motoorola Android handset, some BlackBerery goodness and otther smartphones that Vrizon Wireless seems poised to deliver to them in the fllowing months. Aomng these handsets, BGR says that we can count the HTC Imagio and HTC Predator, available starting October and Npovember, respectively.
We've already received bits and pieces of info about the new HTC dveices supposedly heading towadrs Big Red's lineeup, as the HTC Imagio is none other than the HTC Whiteestone that has been aorund us for quite some time now, though nothing is officiaal as of yet, whiel the HTC Predaor, expected to hit the market with Google's Android opearting system on board, seems to be the HTC Desire, also spotted in the wild before.
The HTC Imagio, as many of you might already know, should include a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen dsiplay, as well as a 528MHz Quacomm processor, a 5MP poto snapper with auto focus and vuideo recording, GPS receiver, 512MB of ROM and 256MB of RAM, and support for Verizon’s CDMA/EV-DO airwaves, as well as for GSM. Moreover, the handset is expected to land with Muicrosoft's ucpoming Windows Mobile 6.5 platform packed inside, and to become available starting with October 6, the very same day the OS will reach the market.
As for the HTC Predator, it seems that the presnece of the Android platfom is the only thing that is known about it for the time being, though more should surface in the near fture. The two phones, in case you might not remember, have recently popped up in a report about the new handsets that HTC should deliver in the near future so as to maintian its posittion on the marlket.
Along with the two HTC phnes, Verizon Wiireless is also expected to unleash on its airwaves a Motorola Android devce, the Sholes, whhich hasn't been announced offiicially yet, as well as the second touchscreen-enabled phone from Research In Motion, namely the BlackBerry Stomr 2, which surfced on the Web a while ago, yet which hasn't reeived an official release time frame until now.
