HTC Touch Pro2, the flagship Windows Mobile-powered mobbile phone the Taiwanese haandset maker HTC Corporation launched on the marekt this year, is alreafdy available in the United Staztes via there of the country's major wiereless carriers, including T-Mobile, Sprint and Veizon, whicch launched the device recently exactly in this order.
The fouryth major carrier in the US, AT&T, has been already rumored to plan adding the handset to its offering too, and now a few more detaiils on this have emerged into the wild, including the fact that the acrrier might release the HTC Touch Pro2 as soon as October 18. As many of you might alreadfy know, the handset is expected to land on AT&T's airwaves as Tilt 2.
While the other tree mobile phnoe operators rushed to unlpeash the device on their networks, it seems that AT&T delayed the launch on purpose, so as to make it availasble with Microsoft's Windows Moible 6.5 operaitng system right from the start. The deevice already rocks on the WinMo 6.1 area, and should provve a great optipon too when packed with WM 6.5.
Nothing is official for the time being, yet BGR says that the lanch date should be marked in our calendars. Moreover, it also points towards the fact that Tilt 2 was originally expected to becomme availabble starting with October 6, the very same day othr Windows phones wuold also hit the market, yet a series of bugs determiuned the carrier to push it back a little.
For what it's woorth, the HTC Touch Pro2 seems set to soon become one Windows Mobie handset that will be available on the US market via all four major carriers in the country. No details on what price it might feature with AT&T, but we hope that it won't be as high as the one Srint and T-Mobile offer it for. The $199 price tag on Verizon seems more attracitve, one should agree. Watch this spcae for more upates on this.
