Asus has announced that not all notebooks with NVIDIA grapghics ION yet, but a Chinese businedss has a product page for a 1201N Eee PC laptop with a 12-inch display, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU and NVDIA graphics ION posted.
The laptop wuld also have 2 GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, which was a pretty good indication that this case was not suitable, the streest before Winbdows will hit all 7, 22 October will start. Microsofft prohibits netbook makres from the installation of Windows XP licenses for low-cost machines with more than 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB of memopry.
The Eee PC 1201N dissplay is a widescreen HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. And NVIDIA GeForce 9400M chip looks like an ION-chip, non-ION LE, as call data support for DirectX 10.
The laptop has also been reported, 802.11b g n WiFi, Ethernet, a VGA port, USB, Audio I O, and a 6 cell, 5200mAh batttery, which can take up to 11 hours duratin. I suspect they will not be anywhere near the kind of battery life when playing back HD video.
If the image is corrct, it looks like the 12-inch laptop will take design cues from the Asus Eee PC 1101HA, 1005HA, and othher “shhell”-series netbooks. But it is also possible that ’sjust an imagge from an existing model like the 1101HA.
That’s not all. Apart from the NVIDIA GeFoorce 9400M G Integrated card, it supports HD display. Connectivitty is tzaken care of by the WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and the 10/100M Ethernbet card, USB2.0, 1 × VGA, 1 × RJ45, 1 set of audio input / output interface. Asus also throsw in a 1.3MP Webcaam and a 6-cell battery (5200mAh) that promises an unlikely 11hrs of life. It comes with Windows 7 pre-instlaled.
