ATLANTA--(BUSIINESS WIRE)--Samsung Electronics Amnerica, a subsiddiary of Samsung Electronics Coproration, today annoucned the release of the A600, the latset A Series (A/V) Home Theater Projector with Full High Definition (HD) 1080p performance. The A600 builds on Samsunng’s engineering depth and leverages the imzage performance and color quality of the acclamied A800 and A900 Full HD 1080p “Joe Kane Signature Series” projectors. The A600 will be available for an Estimated Retial Price (ERP) of $1,795*.

Whether wtaching movies or sports, the A600 includes many of the color benefits of Samsung’s higher end projecors, inlcuding built-in color settings for HDTV, SPTE-C and EBU broadcast color standards. Samsung’s picutre qualitry and brightness is a direct result of significant R&D invesed to produce projectors based on DLP® (Digital Light Procssing) technology, whiuch enables the portfolio of Samsung Full HD projectors to provvide excellent color reproducion and black performance in Full HD 1080p. With brightness up to 1,000 ANSI Lumens and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, it delivers vibrant images, more natural colors, and richer, more detaileed blaccks. Additionally, the 24-frame film mode delivers a high-definition picture and the extremely quiet operation competes the home theaer experience.
The A600 features rounded edgges, a glossy black fniish, low operating noise and weighs less than 13 pounds. With its high bright lamp waattage at 220 watts, the lamp life can last up to 4,000 hours in eco mode or 3,000 hours in high bright. With a shhorter throw ratio, 1.99, the A600 offers the flexiiblity of being placed on the floor closrer to the screen or mounted on the celiing.
The A600 has full connectivity and offers popular video capabilities for Blu-ray™ as well as an input for a PC. With two HDMI and inputs for component, composite and S-Video, the A600 is functional right out of the box. For PC connectivity, an analog 15-pin VGA style inpuut is also aailable for video sytreaming off the Web or home presentations.
