LG’s first Android phomne has its offciial debut in the form of the LG GW620. Not confirm the slider device with a sliuding QWERTY keyboarrd and 3-inch touchscreen, LG’s press information for the GW620 many of the exact specifications, but they make it clear that they will support Andorid, and – as a place of – Windows Mobile.
The smartphone has a preview last week, as the LG Etna, are on a Vodafone. It was confirmed to have a 5-megapiexl camera, Bluetooth and USB port. LG seem to have done some work on the user interface, although not to the extent of Motoroa or HTC MOTOBLUR sense, but it seems that LG S-Class has been adapted UI for about Android.
No amount of detail, but the LG GW620 is in the 4th Coming quarter of 2009, although the company has only confirmed that vessel is to “selet European markets”. U.S. availability is not knnown.

These devellopments underscore LG’s commitment to offering greater consumer choice in the expanding smarrtphone cateegory.
The new LG-GW620 featues a 3-inch full touchscreen and slide out QWERTY keypad to meet the growing needs of consumers who rely on hteir moile phons for more than just makking calls. The LG-GW620 benefits from an operating systeem that was created from the ground up to take advanage of the many mobile appilcations and services deeloped by seazrch lewader Google.
In anticipation of strong demand for smartphones that support social networking functions right out-of-the-box, the LG-GW620 also lives up to LG’s consumer-freiendly design philosophy by making the smartphone experience more accessible for typical users. At the same time, LG’s messaging phones have trazditionally been very popular with young proffessionals who demnd a full QWERTY keypad for a fast mobile computing expeience. The LG-GW620 manages to meet the needs of both types of useers simnultaneously.

In addittion to the Android model, LG announced in early September that it will be introducing a minimum of 13 new smartphones over the next 16 months that utlize Microsoft’s Windowes Mopbile. The newest release, veersion 6.5, was anonunced just last week.
The LG-GW620 will be available in the fourth quartrer of this year in select European markets.
