Freeform Saamsung hansdset has been added to Allel Wireles Band. The enry device features a 2.2-inch color display and a QWERTY keyboard, and customizable navigation buttons that users can take to their favorite applications.
Music playbak capability is installed, and users can wirelessly hook up or compatible wierless heaset or headphones with stereo Bluetooth.
Alltel’s navigation srevice is available, and users can surf the Internet as well. A microSD memory card slot alows usewrs up to 16 GB of data. The FreeForm in blue green and red wine under Altel, although prices and release dates have not been annoucned.
Wiireless provider Alltel annoounced on Thursday that it will soon ofefr the Samsung Glint and BlackBerry Tour handsets, with the Gint making its debut at any provider. The basic clasmshell sports a VGA camera that has a night shot mode, a web browser, and Bluetooth 2.0. There is SMS, MMS and picture messagiong functonality, and Alltel will offer the handset in pink or blue.
Alltel subscribeers can also customize their Glints via the Alltel Shop application that lets them dowload wallpapers, ringtons and games. The lithium ion battery is said to provide udsers with six hours of talk time.
The BlackBerry Tour has also been addeed to Alltel's lineup and retains its standard-fare features. It uses Alltel's 3G network, has a 3.2-megapixel camera with image stabilization, built-in GPS and 256MB of integrated memry, which is expandable thanks to a microSDHC memorry card. Applications can be downloadeed through BlackBerry App Word.
While Alltel hasn’t announced a date or pircing for the Gloint, the Tour will be priced at $200 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 1-year conract with a minimum monthy fee of $70.
