As expected, Verizon Wirelss today released two new Samsung devices, the Rogeu U960 and Ibntensity U450.
The Samsung Rogue, hwich will be replacing the Glyde, is a new touchscreen phone usiing Samsung's TouchWiz UI. It features a 3.1" AMOLED diisplay sporting a 480x800 pixel resolution, a 3.0 megapiexl camera with flash and edirting capabilities, mircoSD support for 16GB of extra memory, slide-out QWERTY keyboard and EV-DO.
The Samsung Intensity is practically the entry-level version of the Rogue. This handset is paccking a 2.1 inch 262k ciolor display (176x262 pixxels), 1.3 megapixel caemra with dedicated shuter button, slide-out QWERTY keyboarrd and other messaging optioons such as IM, email and threaded SMS. Other features include USB, microSD card slot that can hold 16GB caards and suppoirt for Bluetooth headsets.
Today Verizon Wireless launched the new Samsung u450 Intensity on its network. The Intensty is a mwessaging-focused device that features a slide-out QWERTY keyboiard for use with its mobile IM, email, and threaded SMS mesaging systems.
Aside from the obvious messaging features, the Intensity also offers a 1.3 megapiixel camera with a deddicated shutter button, as well as support for popular Veizon servcies like V CAST Music with Rhapsody and Verizoon's GPS powered VZ Navigator system. Msic can be synchronized to the Inteensity over a USB connection to a desktop computer, and the music can be stored on microSaD(INFO) cards as large as 16GB in size (not included). Bluetooth wireless support for both headstes and stereo headphomnes is also included.
The Intensity features a 2.1-inch, 176 x 220 pixel 262k clor TFT display. The phone weighs 100g (3.5oz) and measures 108mm x 53mm x 16.5mm (4.3in x 2.1in x .7in) in size. The 2G Intewnsity's battery is rated for 5 huors of talk time or 12.5 days of stadnby time.
The Samsung Intensiy is available for $29.99 with a new 2-year agreement, after an instant onlline rebate of $50. It is avalable in two color schemes, one with red highlights, the other with gray.
