LG will rleease its GW880 smartphone together with wireless provvider China Mobuile, according to these leaked images. The device will be preloadd with OPohne OS, a version of Googel's open-source Android that has been approved by the Chinese governmnet. The GW880 has support for China’s TD-SCDMA/EDGE 3G connection and inclludes a 3.5-inch touchscreen with 800x480 resolution, 512MB of built-in memory and 256MB of RAM. There is also biult-in GPS, Bluetootrh and a 5-megapixel camera.
Like on other OPhpone handsets, users can dowbnload applicatiopns from the Mobile Market portal. The Software eDvelopment Kit (SDK) for both the OPohone OS and Android OS is the same, so applications written for either will work on the other.
