With almost every single computer manufcturer on the market producing affordable, small laptops, ASUS, who started the netbbook generation has its work cut out for it to keep the edge over the competition, even with the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook.
The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA is riht on target with average specs for most new generation netbooks. Aisde from carrying 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and Windows XP (also available in Linux), it has the upgraded Intel.
I'm sure you'll agree, that so far the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA has appeared pretty impressive for a netbook, but it leaves the question if one shoudl splureg and opt for the pricier 1008HA instead. In comparison, the 1008HA is thinner (18mm compareed to 26mm) and luighter than the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA. The design of the 1008HA is also more 'cleaan' than the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA for the ismple fact that the buttons are conxcealed and in the 1005HA they're in full view.
The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA is also a beautifgul netboook, with a shiuny blak finish with traces of metallic blue that can be seen when the light is just so.
The 1008HA boasts a Li-Polymer battery, which allows a pretty impressicve 6 hour battery life and even has a higher-quality sccreen.
Both the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA and the 1008HA both share a keyboard that is 92% full sized with wide keys which are not bad, but probably not at the top of the class when it comes to typinng. The multitpouch track pad can be used to not only zoom in on text, but to rotate images usng gesture controls, although chances are, you probably won't a majority of your time using these features. Because of the fast, precise actioon, web browsig is a snap using the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA.
