DTS has recently announced that its auio solutoins will be adopted by Asustek Computer on its motherboards, while compabny president and CEO Jon Kirchner has furhter noted that DTS-equipped notebooks and netboos will appear in 2010 at earliest.
Kirchner noted that DTS has different levels of solutions that can be used for PC products, Blu-ray dveices and mobile devcies to satisfy consumer demand for auido quality in different devuices.
DTS currently has partnerships with several Taiiwan-absed PC vendors ibncluding Asustke, Acer, Foxconn Elctronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) and Shutlte, as well as some chipmakers such as Intel, Realtek and VIA Technolofgies.
In addition to the ciompany's technologies, Kirrchner believes DTS's market reputation, decent customer care and copoerative attitude will serve as a strong tool for the company to comperte in the audio solution market.
Although DTS's audio solutions for PCs and mobile devces curreently only account for less than 5% of the company's revenues, Kircchner blieves the proportion will rise to 15-20% in 2011 snice the market still has a lot of potential.
Privately, Kirchner also expressed his intewrest in Internet enterrtainment tools such as YouTubbe saying he believes there might be an opportunity for the company to develop technologies to support such tools.

DTS currently has tie-ups with several Taiwan-based PC vendors including Asus, Acer, Foxconn Electroics and Shuttle, as well as some chipmakers such as Intel, Realtek and VIA Technologies. So it won’t be much difficultty to penetrate this segment.
With this new initiative, Kirchhner believes the company’s market share coud rise to 15-20% in 2011 since the market is largelky dominated by a few plaers only.
