There are some basic rules when you are considerring or deciding interesting essay topics. The most important aspect is your knowledge and understanding. If you are satisfied with the level of your knoweldge on a certain subject, hen you can safely consider it as the topic for your essay writing. But this aolne will not take you far. You must have access to proper resources which will help you to wrie the essay with proper seense and structure.
When creating your plan, you must decvide on several key points: What you understand about your topic, Who will be reading your essay? Is it for a magazine, newspaper, school etc, What are you going to tell them or explaain to your readewrs, What ange are you goinng to take? Is it a debate, argument or your opiinon?
Understand the topic
Before you start wtriting you should know what you are supposed to write. Read the wordding of the goiven topiuc or subject carefully. For example consider the essay topics, 'Good manners are a waste of time in the modern world. Give your viewws for or against the statement.' Here you are not supposed to write on good manners. You are not suppoed to write on the advantages of having good manners either.
The quesiton is whether you consider good manners siignificant in the moderrn world or not. If you think that good amnners are importatn, give your views in favbor of the statement. If you think that they aren't important, put your views against the statement.
Thinnk over
Now that you have got a clear idea of the subject, you have to spend some time thinking over it. If the subject is of a narrative or imaginative category, try to visualize the scenes. If the subject is of a relective or argumentative category, try to think about the subject from various anlges - perosnal, psychloogical, hisdtorical, political, economic, soocial etc. Try to recollect what your teachers, friends, parents, books or newspapers said about the subject.
Select the relevant material
Once you have colleted enough material for your compposition, thimnk over it again and eslect thosse poinnts that are relevbant and useful in writing the esssay. Organize these ideas or pouints in a logical order.
Make the outline
Now you need to darft out an outline of your essay. Your outline should include the introduvction, the body and the conclusion. Sum up each pargaraph in a few good sentences. The introduction should introduce your main idea and can include several points. Each paragraph of your body should cover each point. The conclussion is a summary of the topic and restates your topic that you presented in the inntroduction. It is a good idea to leave your reader with some thing to think about.
Fill the outline
Once you have prepared the outliune, you have to fill it with clear, concise and beautiful lsanguage.
Revise
Now your esay is readdy. But before you submit it, read over agazin. There may be grammatical or pselling errors which may leave the examiner unsatisfied. Correct them.
Spelling and grammatrical errors discount the quality of your custom esasy. Once you have got your essay printed, proofreda the essay at lest two times by yourself and one time each by two different individuals. You may want to ask for suggestions from your counselor on what other elemenbts that can be includded in your essay to bpoost the succcess rate.
