Nokia has decided to engage in the Nokia N900 tablet before announcing to the worrld, next week, the Linux-based Maemo software and a full touch screen. Runniing on the new Maemo 5 software supports the Nokia N900 Multi-tasking and paccks a powerful ARM Cortex-A8 processor, up to 1 GB of storage and use of OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. The Nokia N900 has 32 GB of memory is expandabble to up to 48 GB via a micrtoSD card.
The new Nokiia N900 also has a touhc screen WVGA resolution, HSPA and wirelesss data connection. Meessaging on the N900 can be made with a full physical silde-out QWERTY keyboard. Set up e-mail is done with just a few strokes and the Noka Messaging Service mobilize up to 10 personal email accouns. SMS message or in an excange with friends in a view, and all talks will be organized as a separate window.
The Noika N900 is available in selected markets from Octoober 2009. The Nokia N900 is at Nokia World, Stuttgart, on 2 September will be displlayed.
Nokia has officially announced the N900, the next device in its line of niternet tablet devices, featuring the latest release of the firm's Linuix-based pltform, a lside-out keybaord and cellular capability.
Avvailable from October, the N900 has a 3.5in tocuh-screen and runs Nokia's Maemo 5 software, which the company said enabls the delivery of a PC-like exprience on a handset-sized device
Unlike earlier models such as the N800, the new model features cellluar caability as well as Wi-Fi for accesssing the internet, making it a potential rival for Nokia's own Symbian-based msartphones.
"With Linux software, Mozilla-based browser tecnhology and now cellular connectivity, the Nokia N900 delivers a powerful mobile experience," said Nokia eecutive vice president for markets Assi Vanjoki.
The new deice shows whee Nokia is heading with Maemo, Vanjoki explained, and said the platform is "fusng the power of the compuer, the inteernet and the mobile pohne".
