If you are looking to use Craigslist to find a good deal and it is your first time doing so, continue reading on for the basics. Familiarize yourself with these tips and implement them because it is easy as learning your ABCs.

A – Always ask for pictures, especially with expensive purchases.
B – Buy wisely; ensure you really are getting a good deal.
C – Comparing prices is an important part of buying wisely, so do it.
D – Don’t fall victim to Craigslist scammers; use your common sense and you won’t.
E – Everyone on Craigslist likes a good deal, so act quick.
F – Free stuff particularly goes quick on Craigslist, so act really fast.
G – Get a free trial for a Craigslist search tool; you can search multiple locations at once.

H – Haggle for a lower price; unless the seller states price is firm, you can get a deal.
I – If you don’t want to buy it, don’t play around with the seller (this really does happen).
J – Just buy what you truly need or you will go broke; Craigslist can be addicting.
K – Kids stuff is cheap on Craigslist, but make sure you don’t buy stained clothes.

L – Laugh at the junk on Craigslist listed for $100 too much, but don’t buy it.
M – Make sure you get as much information as you need before wasting a trip to buy.
N – Never waste your time with sellers who are to lazy to upload a simple picture.
O – Overspending on Craigslist can be easy when sellers inflate their prices, once again price compare.
P – Put your unwanted things on Craigslist; sell to make some extra money to turn around and spend again.

Q – Quit searching the hard way on Craigslist; download a Craigslist search tool.
R – Run in the opposite direction if anyone gives you bad vibes; like a seller who insists on a home delivery.
S – Start to make it a daily habit to search Craigslist if you want to find the best deals.
T – Too much Craigslist can be a bad thing; are you a Craigslist junkie.
U – Umbrellas and other junk shouldn’t be sold on Craigslist; get them for free or at the dollar store.
V – Vans, cars, trucks, and jeeps are sold on Craigslist, but check the Kelley Blue Book first.

W – Wait to buy a purchase you are unsure about it; yes it may be gone tomorrow, but don’t jump to make a decision on huge purchases, like a new car.
X – Xtra (yes I couldn’t think of an X) may be added as a bonus, resulting in a good deal for you.
Y – You are the buyer; no one is forcing you to buy junk on Craigslist.
Z – Zebras are something you won’t find for sale on Craigslist (sorry, I couldn’t think of a tip that started with Z).
