I am a self proclaimed deal seeker. Find me a good deal and I will snatch it up. That is just one of the many reasons why I love Craigslist.org. This online classified website is home to huge selection of used vehicles, home decor, clothes, kids toys, and much more. Whatever I need, I can usually find it on Craigslist and for a good price. The only problem is that Craigslist isn’t necessarily the easiest website to search. While there are lots of good deals, it can take time to find them. Do you have hours to waste? As a parent always on the go, I feel like I barely have time to breathe, not hours to spend searching for good deals. That is why I love Craigslist search tools. What is that I like about them?
They are desktop applications. When you download a Craigslist search tool, you get an application that you install and run from your computer’s desktop. This means no internet explorer windows. Have you ever tried comparing 10 different products right from internet explorer? Speaking from personally experience, you are left to constantly hit the back button or open up new tabs. Have you ever accidentally closed a window only to not remember what product you were looking at? I have and am forced to start the entire comparison process all over again. Not cool and very frustrating!
They allow you to search multiple locations and categories at once. I kid you not; I live right smack dab in the middle of three cities listed under my state on Craigslist. For that reason, I want and need to search all three Craigslist city pages, but on the website I can’t do it at once. This is where it may take an hour or more to find a good deal. Once again, I don’t have this time; do you? With a Craigslist search tool, I can select all three of my city pages to search at once. In fact, if I wanted to search Craigslist nationwide, I could do this too.
They allow you to edit your search lists. As previously stated, I am an avid deal seeker. I want to find the best deals; which are quality products at affordable prices. With Craigslist search tools, your shopping list appears at the top and you can view the Craigslist ads at the bottom. This sounds neat all by itself, but you can also edit your shopping lists. With the click of the mouse I can eliminate an old ratty couch that I wouldn’t be caught dead having in my living room or a used couch with a $150 price tag (I mine as well buy new at that price). This eliminates the Craigslist postings I need to view, making price comparing quick and easy. I am not only a deal seeker, but a parent, so I don’t have a second of the day to waste.
