Moles or warts on the face are a source of much misery and shame in the lives of many of those people who have them. The face is the most visually exposed area of the body and any blemishes appearing here are easily noticeable. Their location is the source of all the emotional anguish these people feel. Most facial warts are usually unsightly, which is why many of those affected by them seek out facial mole removal methods.

The composition of a mole is actually clusters of normal skin pigment cells. These skin pigments should normally be spread evenly across the skin throughout the entire body. However in some instances, for various reasons they may form clusters resulting in these blemishes. Some types of moles are very easy to treat or stop while others are complex and harder to reverse.

In order to get the healing process started, a person affected by warts would have to visit a dermatologist. These are doctors who specialize in skin care. The doctor will carry out an examination of the moles and recommend an appropriate course of action to be taken to eliminate this problem. Two measures can be taken as a remedy to this problem. One entails use of natural methods while the other has to do with surgical removal.

Natural treatment is preferred to chemical remedies because it has few side effects. Surgery is very expensive and drugs taken for this kind of problem are likely to have some side effects and withdrawal symptoms. These natural remedies are tea tree oil, onion juice, baking soda, dandelion roots and sour apple.

The sour apple, onion and dandelion roots are squeezed to extract their juice which is then applied directly onto the mole using a cotton swab. As for the baking soda, it is in powder form so it has to be added to some liquid solvent like vinegar or castor oil. The castor oil and tea tree oil are already prepared and in liquid state hence they are applied as they are.

Most moles are not in any position to cause any real harm, but in some cases, they may pose a threat to the life of a person. When this happens, the quickest and surest way of eliminating them is employed. This brings surgical removal into focus. A variety of procedures are used when it comes to removal depending on where the blemish is located, its appearance and the individual choice of the patient.

Laser surgery is one surgical method. The skin is not actually cut open. Also the wound heals a lot cleaner leaving no scars. Excision stitches is a method used if a sample is required for analysis. This method however cuts into the skin and leaves scars on the areas on which it is applied. Cauterization is yet another way and involves burning off the mole. There is no cutting involved and thus no scar is left.

Other surgical methods are cryosurgery and shave biopsy. In cryosurgery, a freezing liquid is pushed into the mole to freeze the clustered pigment cells. There is no cutting involved thus no scarring. In shave biopsy, a scalpel is employed in lifting up the mole and the bleeding on the underside is prevented by application of heat.
