Moles or warts on the face are a source of much misery and shame in the lives of many of those people who have them. The face is the most visually exposed area of the body and any blemishes appearing here are easily noticeable. Also they are extremely noticeable hence causing emotional distress in the affected person. For many people, the moles on their skins are ugly, thus causing them to seek facial mole removal.

The composition of a mole is actually clusters of normal skin pigment cells. These skin pigments should normally be spread evenly across the skin throughout the entire body. However in some instances, for various reasons they may form clusters resulting in these blemishes. Treatment of these warts varies as some are harder to cure than others.

In order to get the healing process started, a person affected by warts would have to visit a dermatologist. These are doctors who specialize in skin care. He or she will examine the patient and give a comprehensive diagnosis of the problem and recommend the proper measures to be taken in order to contain the situation or reverse it. Depending on the area affected and the severity of the affliction, the doctor may either prescribe natural methods, or immediate surgical removal.

When it comes to treatment of facial warts, the safest and cheapest way to get rid of them is by the use of natural methods. These are preferred to the surgical or chemical methods. Surgery is very expensive and drugs taken for this kind of problem are likely to have some side effects and withdrawal symptoms. These natural remedies are tea tree oil, onion juice, baking soda, dandelion roots and sour apple.

The sour apple, onion and dandelion roots are squeezed to extract their juice which is then applied directly onto the mole using a cotton swab. Baking soda is usually added to another ingredient such as vinegar or castor oil to form a paste. This paste is applied in the same fashion as the other extracts. The castor oil and tea tree oil are already prepared and in liquid state hence they are applied as they are.

Most of the times this condition is not of any threat to the life and health of anyone who has them. This is however not always the case. Warts may at times pose serious health concerns. This brings surgical removal into focus. There are several ways to go about this depending on location and appearance of the moles.

Laser removal does not involve any cutting. Also the wound heals a lot cleaner leaving no scars. Excision stitches is yet another means by which moles can be removed. This method however cuts into the skin and leaves scars on the areas on which it is applied. Cauterization is one such method in which a mole is burned of safely. There is no cutting involved and thus no scar is left.

There are two other methods employed by dermatologists. These are cryosurgery method and shave biopsy method. Cryosurgery involves the placing of a freezing liquid in the mole to kill the problematic cells. This involves no cutting hence no scar forms. In shave biopsy, a scalpel is employed in lifting up the mole and the bleeding on the underside is prevented by application of heat.
