A fun and exciting event at a baby shower is the baby trivia game. You can test your knowledge about babies while playing along. For example, did you know that a baby’s head is one quarter the size of the rest of his body at birth? Only three to four percent of all babies actually arrive on their due date.
You can find a plethora of baby trivia questions online. Do a search for baby trivia and you will be amazed at all of the options that you find. From baby shower planning sites to pregnancy forums, baby trivia seems to be a popular topic.
Great fun can be had when you realize that not everyone will have the same answers to the baby trivia questions. Some people will say that a baby doesn’t begin to smile, socially, until they are three months old, while others believe that the smiling begins as early as three weeks old.
You may be surprised at some of the baby trivia facts. Disposable diapers don’t break down in a land fill for up to five hundred years! That is a great reason to choose to use cloth instead of disposable diapers. Speaking of diapers, the average baby goes through 7500 diapers each year. That’s a lot of diaper changes. A man changes a diaper three times faster than a woman does.
That’s no surprise, though, as a man is more likely to get the job done as fast as possible. A woman will be more thorough while changing a diaper, which can take more time. How’s that for some baby trivia? Here’s a bit of baby trivia for you. A baby is born with 300 bones.
Over the course of his life, some of those bones fuse together. And how many bones does he have as an adult? That’s not baby trivia! But the answer is 206.
While there is nothing “trivial” about baby trivia, it can be a fun way to get the ball rolling at a baby shower. You might want to end the party with the baby trivia, though. I found great baby trivia coasters at my local craft store.
You can use them through the shower as coasters and then ask the baby trivia questions near the end of the party. Everyone can take home their baby trivia coaster as a reminder of the baby shower and all of the new things they’ve learned.
