Whether you are a skilled athlete, a high school or college athlete, a coach, or a parent of an athlete, you are searching for the options that exist with peak performance. You desire to feel the elation of victory. You yearn to experience confidence and steadiness in action. You want to assist positive personal growth. So how do you enrich performance and comprehend some of those amazing options?

When folks discover the possibilities of accomplishing peak performance, several people have a tendency to look at specific situations where physical performance and intelligence command fast action and instant reaction. This concept of training and preparation is really incorrect. As a matter of fact, hyping yourself up for an event and spending years of training through drills may essentially impede your chance to attain the peak performance you long for.

When taking into account genuine opportunities which exist with achieving peak performance, it is important to go back to your childhood before elements such as willpower or particular drills were forced upon you. Children can get amazing athletic feats and have a natural ability to perform at a large variety of several different sports. The problem comes when parents or coaches begin to identify the talent that may exist and make an effort to enhance it by means of a wide variety of different performance training and motivational tools which they think are encouraging a child's growth.

Unfortunately, majority of the elements that are utilized in motivation or performance training can often impede an individual's ability by overwhelming the athlete's mind to make sure that he can no longer find the high level performance which might have once existed as a child. Athletes believe in willpower-that they can force their ability to be able to attain the levels of performance they desire. This'll never work in the long run. The reality is there is a more practical method for achieving greater performance, and it's called stillpower.

This concept of 'stillpower' is often contradictory to what a great number of people have been taught; it is the opposite of willpower. Children naturally practice 'stillpower'. When you are young, you do not have the pressures related to willpower and performance tips constantly running through your mind. Rather, you depend on your natural ability to perform exceedingly well. You operate from a composed, unencumbered mind-set, that is the heart of 'stillpower'.
