In any wedding ceremony, the bridegroom is most important. When the speech is about to be delivered, there are a number of things that must be kept in mind. If you have the right things in your head at the time of the speech, then you should have no problem delivering something memorable.

You should always thank the guests that took the time to come to your wedding and who contributed greatly to make the day such a memorable one for you and your partner. Create a list of people that you would like to give a special thanks to in your speech. But avoid thanking too many people. There are several other things that you should put in your speech. It must discuss the way that you feel about getting married, some nice words about your new wife, and possibly a joke or two to prevent the guests from getting bored.

Consider practicing the speech while at home. Write down the speech word for word and practice it while standing in front of a mirror. Giving a public speech may frighten you. The speech that you deliver must be exceptional; the fact that you are the most important individual of the day should ease any tension that you feel while you deliver the speech. While giving the speech, it’s not uncommon for people to experience wet hands. So consider putting your hands behind your back. Fear of public speaking is something that most people suffer from. Some people may have difficulties talking in front of large crowds, while others may not be able to enjoy the wedding altogether.

During the wedding reception, the bridegroom speech is the second speech delivered during the event. This speech is typically given after the father of the bride speaks. This speech may come before or after the meal, depending greatly on the expectations and traditions of the family. The best mans speech is to follow this speech. If you are only a little nervous, then you have successfully prepared yourself. Make sure you feel confident when you are giving the speech.

A few tips that may help you while you are giving your speech:

Make your speech short; limit it to no more than 8 minutes
Make sure you say a few positive things about your new wife
Your guests should appreciate the speech that you’ve given
It must be an entertaining speech with a few jokes there to prevent your guests from getting bored or becoming too emotional.
