In 2011 the Kamani Foundation conducted an extensive awareness program on “Minimising Environment Pollution”. This program was primarily focused on reducing vehicle-related pollution by bringing awareness of its uses, misuses and repercussions.
As part of its environmental initiatives and community guidance programs, the Foundation planted trees in nearby schools with the active participation of school children.
The Foundation also supported the local self-government in canal cleaning of Kumarakom to ensure free-flowing and clean water to the fields and homes. It has also donated a water pump set and a long view torch set for the use of the local Police Station.
