Back in my school years, I was given a task to design an invitation for a wedding along with a wedding card for my parents anniversary, their 25th to be precise, like so many other couples out there, they decided to marry after having a very extensive relationship. With the computer system, it has become easier for you to design cards. Like someone who felt honoured about the occasion, I was very confident that I would be able to design the wedding cards and invitations just like the professionals. The source of my confidence came from the invitations that I had created as a school project, which garnered much praise from pupils and teachers.
I definitely would not say that designing wedding cards and invitations is a simple task, like counting to three, which it most certainly is not. I once spent an entire day just working on the outline of my first draft. It’s not just tiring, but it’s also a fairly costly process too. Just seeing your work on the computer display is not enough, you have to actually print it out to see whether or not the finished draft is able to match the paper you intend to print your wedding cards and wedding invitations on. Be prepared to print out several drafts before you finish with something that’s more to your liking.
My sister was nice enough to help me out during the designing of the wedding cards and wedding invitations for our parents, which was not surprising, because she already had prior experience and knowledge in this kind of work. I and she were so happy about the fact that our parents were still together after 25 years of marriage that we forget to prepare for the wedding details; we are just too focused on ensuring that the design for the wedding card and invitation was right. When the wedding day finally came around, it was a comical occasional, because my aunt had to quickly purchase the flowers for the church.
There was also a moment where we had to find the appropriate shoes for the flower girls, because no one was properly informed on what colour the shoes should be for them. It was an affair that was rather funny and also unforgettable. The end result was remarkable, I liked the way it all turned out, and so did my parents. But none of this truly matter, all that mattered was that my parents were celebrating their 25th.
