When you start the planning phase of your wedding, one of the first things that you will have to decide upon is the colours for the event. This is a decision that you will have to make before you may any decision on the bridesmaid dress, wedding flowers and the overall style of the wedding reception hall. Here are a few colour choices that should feature at the top of your list for the wedding this year.

1. Luscious lime with hot cherries. This might seem like an unusual mix to you, especially when hearing about it for the first time, and although you would be making quite a loud statement going with this colour scheme, if you were to combine the colours correctly, then it could leave a lasting impression on your guests.

2. Grey and coral. This is subtle in a beautiful way. These colours are definitely going to be a hit aboard for weddings this year. This is a mixture of muted, soft colours, combined to make a wedding theme that is simply exquisite.

3. Hot pink. Vibrant pink started increasing in popularity for weddings some three or four years ago, and it doesn’t seem like it’s halting anytime soon. Try balancing out the pink with silver and white, to ensure that people never forget your wedding reception.

4. Soft blush pinks and chocolate brown. Pinks and chocolate browns are a colour combination that is very popular in the past few years, with the base colour being the brown. These colours have the ability to create a fashionable and modern setting. Definitely a chic choice for all couples today.

5. Pale aqua with tiffany blue. The blue is a very stylish and elegant colour, which has a modern and classic feel to it. When you combine this with white and aqua shades it has the ability to make your wedding more refreshing, contemporary, cool and crisp. If you would like to add an additional colour to the theme of your wedding then you may want to go with green floral for your centrepieces and bouquet.

6. Shades of the orange. Oranges of all shades has always been a choice that is very popular for the fall and autumn wedding. However, for this year, you can bet that this colour is going to be hot throughout all the seasons. You can use orange in so many different ways. When you pair it up with gold and brown, it’s able to create sophisticated warmth for your reception.
