Kamani Foundation is the Charitable Trust of the Zuri Group Global created and established in the year 1999. Conceptualized by the Founder and Chairman Mr. Chamanlal Kamani, the object of the Trust is to fulfill social responsibilities and render charitable activities without distinction of caste, creed, gender and religion.

In line with its objectives of serving local communities and facilitating timely aid, the Foundation has set up an artificial limb centre in Rajkot, Gujarat. In a short span of time the Centre has gained a distinct popularity across the Kutch and Saurashtra regions, indicating the need for such initiatives within our society. On their part, the media of the area has ably assisted in making public the activities of the Centre, helping immensely in reaching out to those in need.

Part of these activities include conducting regular camps on request of social bodies in any part of the country. These camps disburse awareness of artificial limbs as well as provide those in need with limbs, balance with plastic calipers, metal calipers and crutches. The camp in 2002 conducted on request of the Junagadh District Automobile Association helped benefit more than 800 people. Similarly, the March ‘07 camp organised in Goa had a total of 346 beneficiaries registered, from which 105 were provided artificial limbs and other walking aids.

The Centre also organises regular camps in Rajkot every month on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day of the month. The camp provides awareness, guidance and assistance to at least about 100 beneficiaries every month, so far having helped provide 11,728 people with a total no. of 13,830 equipment.

The Kamani Foundation headed by Mr. Chamanlal Kamani has pledged to continue its support in the form of its artificial limb centre with more equipment and camps, reaching out to those in need wherever possible. The Foundation has also focused its efforts on the rehabilitation of people with disabilities enabling them to regain their self respect and human dignity. The Foundation strives to empower them by providing services in the field of medical and education to enable them to join the mainstream as equal and productive members of the society.

The Zuri Group, under the visionary stewardship of Mr. Chamanlal Kamani, also supported the local self government in the Canal Cleaning of Kumarakom to ensure free-flowing and clean water to the fields and homes of Kumarakom.

The Group has also donated a water pump set and a long view torch set for the use of the local Police Station. On this occasion, the Chairman of Zuri Group Global, Mr. Chamanlal Kamani says “We believe in social beliefs and culture and hence we have charted out a path for the Group where community awareness programmes become imperative in the social causes it serves. You will see a lot of such initiatives by our group time and again”
Author Resource:- Chamanlal Kamani, Founder and Chairman of the Zuri Group Global has led the Group with this very integrity and vision. Presently based in Kenya, Mr. Chamanlal Kamani continues to push boundaries, challenge mindsets and explore possibilities with an amazing gusto.
