You might be wondering what I mean by e-hooks Well it simply means getting hooked up socially on the internet via social sites like myspace.com and others. Now, you will also be at crossroads, the relationship between e-books ad e-hooks (a word I coined myself). From the title of the article, you don't need a soothsayer or probably a wiseacre for you to know that this is an article filled with humor or maybe satire if you prefer that. But, on the contrary, the purpose of this article is not humor intended, but to show the distinction and interdependence of two factors as a product of success in all ramifications, especially as an infopreneur
If you are new to terms like web 2.0 or social dating, then this might sound Greek to you; but if I am allowed to make use of my new term (e-hooks), in this order it will mean getting hooked up electronically (via the internet) as every new word in English these days are prefixed with an 'e' below are some examples;
Book- e-book
Mail- e-mail
Money- e-money
Currency- e-currency
Gold- e-gold etc and now enter the new kid on the block according to me
HOOK- e-hook!!!
Now to the concept of making e-book to suit e-hooks; social dating sites like hi5.com, facebook.com, and the most popular of them all, myspace.com are social sites where you can get this idea into full swing; when you sign up for membership of these sites, you get to meet social friends daily. Like yesterday I met a very good friend on myspace.com, fortunately for me, we share so many thing in common; like she is a stickler for doing things right, she loves writing just like me, and the most amazing thing about this new friend is that she loves football passionately just like me. With such a friend, you develop a very good relationship through e-mail, chatting online and offline or even speaking on the telephone, amazing isn't. As the relationship develops, trust also comes in. this is where you come in with your product, your e-book.
On my previous write ups, I have never treated e-book as topic; however as at the time of going to press, my e-book is still in the burners; soon to be released, and if you stay (e) - hooked up on this site and other article boards I post my messages you might get a free copy of it. Back to why I choose to put up an article about e-books when many articles about e-books have continuously been discussed on this site and many others. Well I did not just write in generic terms as is the case with this kind of article, but rather I decided to get a step further by introducing another dimension as regards this all important niche by exposing the social angle(e-hooks) relative to the business aspect of it (e-books).
Well as they say 'e-books the future', laying credence to this, for one to tap profitably from this money spinning industry-you have to distinguish yourself by doing something different yet the same, and social networking opens to you this window of untapped opportunities. I am sorry if I have digressed so much, but I am doing so to crave your indulgence. Now to the crux of the matter, using your e-hooks to get free advert for your e-book(s) and at the same time get your bank account swelled up sociably (sounds funny!). I presume you must have signed up with either hi5.com, myspace.com or facebook.com or the three of them. The sign up fee is 100 percent free. Build your profile; build your community by making new friends, meeting new and wonderful people and then keeping your relationship with each of them to a profitable level. There is something I will like to share with you; in the business world both online and offline, you deal with people on the business level no trust, no compromise and no mercy, but in the social world the reverse is the case. This is a world I will love to refer to as utopia.
Here, every body you meet is to be trusted, loved, respected and vice versa; and as such any proposal made on this level or platform is greeted with an air of approval.
