When having a wedding in February, it symbolises the perfect opportunity for two loved ones to celebrate the bond between the two of them. It’s a month for love and for romance. For you to say “I Do” on Valentine’s Day or just any day in the month, you will essentially create a wedding that is filled with all the magic you see in fairytale movies. So why don’t you consider making your special day the best it can be by deciding to get married on Valentine’s Day.

Your wedding is an occasion for you to be happy, so be sure not to forget to make it special, there are so many things for one to think about and consider. Here are just some wedding ideas that will ensure your valentine wedding day will be a fabulous one.

Colour: You’re in the month of Valentine with red being the traditional colour. You could also add some white and pink if you like, as these colours also represent Valentine’s Day. You could also consider mixing these colours to make something unique.

Flowers: Make sure you don’t forget roses in pink, red or white. Orchids, tulips, ferns, lilies and daises do make excellent combinations with them. These flowers have the ability to make your wedding on February a more romantic one.

Wedding Favours: heart shape chocolate paper weights, scanted white and red candles, valentine sweets, heart shaped photo frames, teddy bears and red wine bottles will make the perfect wedding favours for your wedding day. There are also a number of wedding favours that you can personalise available, which you can add your own romantic touch to, if you like. Make your guests feel the kind of romance that you and your partner share for one another.

Table Centrepieces: Since roses and hearts are what symbolise Valentine’s Day, why shouldn’t you use them? You can have a vase that is heart shaped, filled with red roses, you can have any type of vase with red roses in them and put marbles that are heart shaped also next to them. Try and make things simple, you don’t want it to be too dazzling or glittery.

Wedding Cakes: the cakes for the wedding are what take the main stage during the event. The cake is there to signify the ecstasy and joy of the union celebrating a new marriage. Any wedding cake that is heart shaped should suffice, but it’s not out of the question for you to go for larger shaped wedding cakes, with colours that are in line with the Valentine’s Day theme.
