Not everyone is interest in having your traditional wedding. There are some people out there that enjoy the excitement of Halloween and would like to share this favourite day of theirs with others during their wedding. Just like the people who knock on your door asking for a treat, the guests at your wedding are also deserving of a treat. Here are a few ideas for wedding favours that you may want to present to your wedding guests when celebrating your Halloween theme wedding.
Trick or treat bags
Because it’s a Halloween theme, you can fill up little trick or treat bags made from paper with chocolate pumpkin and other types of sweets.
Halloween candles
There are many interesting Halloween candles that you can purchase in numerous sizes and shapes, like ghosts, pumpkins, haunted houses etc. Once you have the candle, you should wrap it up in organ tulle and then tie it using a ribbon, the black curly type.
Cauldron of pumpkins
You can get little black plastic cauldrons and then fill them up with chocolate pumpkins.
Pumpkin jars
If you would like to do something crafty, then you could consider making pumpkin jars filled with candy. The first thing that you will have to do is collect baby food jars. Then you can paint pumpkins all around the jar with craft paint. Then cover up the top with an orange felt and then glue two felt leaves to it. Add a piece of dowel, preferably something small painted in brown for the stem. Then you can fill the jar up with candy.
Orange net favours
Cut 6 inch circles of tulle in black and orange colours. Then you can place either a small votive candle or candy in each circle you cut. Gather them together and then tie them using a ribbon in an opposite colour. (Black ribbon, orange tulle and orange ribbon, black tulle)
Wizard’s wand
Using 1 inch diameter dowels cut them into 12 inch lengths. Then paint them in a dark purple colour. Add stickers, the gold variety in the shape of a sun, star or moon. Using acrylic sealer to seal it; on one end, at purple and gold steamers. Then attach a favour tag and put your wedding date and name on it and then write: “The power that comes from our love is able to create a world that is magical. Thank you for taking the time to join us in this mystical evening.”
