Clickbank is an affiliate network platform for digital products, mostly info products and eBooks. In order for you to find out which products on ClickBank are performing the best, the gravity score has been the official indicator that most affiliates look at.

So, why does everyone follow the gravity?

The gravity is basically an indicator that tells us how many affiliates have been able to make a commission off a specific product. Many affiliates online believe that the more others have been able to make from a product, the higher the chances of them profiting from the exact same product.

I’m not denying that the gravity score is an indicator in its own right. For example, there are a number of publishers that consistently punch out quality products that are worth the attention of affiliates. Because of their reputation, hundreds of affiliates hop on to their product release day. The gravity score shoots up rapidly, reaching beyond 100. The high gravity score then attracts more affiliate marketers to the product. As a result of that, fierce competition begins.

Affiliates have a knack for paying homage to high gravity scores and the top publishers know this. This is one of the reasons why ClickBank publishers are so serious about doing joint venture promotions. It allows best to build up hype about their product as it always inflates their gravity. A hyped up product will receive a gravity score in the range of 100 and beyond, rather quickly. But those undeserved products will receive a high refund rate, and sales pages that are untested will have poor conversions. Soon, all these negative factors begin to eat away at the initial hype. The gravity begins to decline, although rather slowly. If you don’t already know, ClickBank has an unconditional 60 day money back refund policy.

A high gravity score is the result of two factors:

A quality product that has a lot or competition
A mediocre product that had a lot of hype during its launch

Either way, affiliates like you and me will have no luck promoting them. We won’t become rich overnight promoting them.

If you don’t know anything about Clickbank then you will probably be somewhat confused about how it works and what all the different things mean. Well, don’t worry, because the information in this article should put you in a better position when it comes to fully taking advantage of Clickbank.
